Chief of Ob/Gyn

We are seeking a skilled, visionary Physician leader that is aligned to our Culture of Safety values and Quality driven vision. As the Ob/Gyn Chief will manage a department that is a primary leader in delivering Ob/Gyn Care in our area. Our dynamic team currently includes eight OB/GYN Physicians, two nurse practitioners, and two Nocturnist laborists working with a team of nurse midwives providing high quality care at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital and across six ambulatory office locations throughout southeastern MA.

Position Summary 
We are looking for a seasoned leader that will continue to grow our reputation of delivering quality and compassionate care. This role requires a Chief with the ability to engage and inspire others, including physician colleagues, department staff, and others throughout the institution. As well as work effectively with community partners and align with our services to community. For decades, Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital has provided a warm, welcoming, and secure environment. Our exceptional Labor and delivery team manages over 1,700 deliveries per year. Our Maternal-Newborn Pavilion, our unit offers a private surgical suite and a Level II Special Care Nursery. All needed specialties are on site, including MFM (perinatology), Reproductive Endocrinology, and Gyn Oncology. Laparoscopic skills needed and experience in multidisciplinary department is preferred. We also have 24/7 in house support from Pediatric Anesthesiologists and Tufts Floating Hospital for Children Pediatric Hospitalists.

The Chief of Obstetrics is responsible for the overall performance of all Obstetrics and Gynecology care provided to patients of Signature Healthcare including Brockton Hospital and Signature Medical Group. The Chief is responsible for strategic leadership of the Departmental, all Obstetricians, and Advanced Practice Providers (employed or private practice) in alignment with the vision and strategy of Signature Healthcare, emphasizing patient safety, quality, performance in risk contracts, regulatory compliance, operations, resource allocation, financial performance, and growth.]
Responsible for the clinical quality performance in the Department and works collaboratively with the quality department, the Medical Group Leadership and Department Physicians in developing quality goals for the department. Participates in ongoing process improvement activities that support improved clinical quality. This is a full-time position with approximately 30-40% leadership/administrative duties and 60-70% percent clinical duties.

•    This position has both clinical and leadership responsibilities
•    MGMA competitive salary and sign-on, relocation bonus if applicable.
•    50% Ob / 50% Gyn, with option to specialize.
•    Base salary for two years then wRVU with production and quality based compensation.
•    We have nocturnist laborists on site during the weeknights.
•    403(b) Retirement Plan and deferred Compensation 457(b) Plan.
•    Occurrence-based malpractice insurance.
•    Benefits include CME reimbursement up to $3,000, and one week of CME time.
•    Time off up to 24 days plus one week of CME and holidays.
•    Call is on average one- 24-hour shift per month and, two days in house in labor and delivery, and three days of backup calls.
